Anna Scott

Acoustic, Full Band, Jazz, Blues, Americana, Folk

A Parisian artiste based in London, Anna's upbringing was nurtured by musical theatre and film. She explored the genre with great passion and in her own original style, created shows including: Let Me Entertain You (2007), Tete A Tete (2009), Come On (2010)... with jazz classics and musical standards, along with her own compositions. She released her first Cd "Hip Vintage" in 2011, with the jazz guitarist Yves Brouqui.
In 2012, in collaboration with Fabien Ruiz (Tap dancer and Choreographer, "The Artist") and the company Opera Autrement, she created, at the Festival d'Avi....

In 2012, in collaboration with Fabien Ruiz (Tap dancer and Choreographer, "The Artist") and the company Opera Autrement, she created, at the Festival d'Avignon, the solo musical "Swing Baby Swing". After performing the show for 2 years in France, Anna moved to London in August 2014 to work on the english adaptation with Bruce Alexander. Under the new title of, "Goodbye To The Lady", the show will be performed for the first time in London on the 28th of March 2015.

Anna also set up her band, a mix of jazz, blues, and tap dancing, unique entertainment, and perform regularly in London.

In 2015, She signed with Downtown Artists, and recorded her first two songs written in London "sad Like A Sunflower In The Rain" and "You Make Me feel That Way" that will be release on the 6th of May 2016.

Classically trained as a child in both singing and dance, Anna soon moved on to jazz and tap. Her passion for the cinema also provides her with inspiration along with the diversity of encounters that have punctuated her career.
From a theatrical background (both her parents being opera singers), Anna made her first appearances on stage from the age of 3, and hasn’t stopped performing since.

Spotted in 2004 by Eric Fréderic (leading dancer at the Opéra de Bordeaux), she held the title role in A Ticket To Broadway, a musical tribute to the ‘golden age’ of Hollywood, for over 200 performances.
Also appreciated for her talents as a choreographer, Anna collaborated with various companies including the vocal trio « Lyric Sisters » with whom she frequently performed in Paris. Passionate about sharing her love of Musical Theatre with the next generation of performers, she has been teaching dance at the AID School of performing arts, since 2010.
